New Home for 2025: Holding Point Recreation Complex


The Horseheads Hitmen will have a new venue to call home for the 2025 New York Collegiate Baseball League season, with the team moving its home games to the Holding Point Recreation Complex in Horseheads, New York.


The Holding Point Recreation Complex features several youth baseball and softball fields, as well as a dirt track for BMX racing. Holding Point, as it is often called, is located at 190 Wygant Road, Horseheads, New York 14845.


Admission to all Hitmen home games at the Holding Point will be free of charge, thanks to our amazing sponsors for the 2025 season. The Hitmen host the Dansville Gliders for their home opener at the Holding Point on Saturday, June 7, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Horseheads then hosts the Hornell Steamers on Sunday, starting at 2:00 p.m.


Horseheads has 10 home games scheduled during June and 10 more in July. The Hitmen are scheduled to host the Rochester Ridgemen for a doubleheader on Wednesday, June 25, starting at 2:00 p.m. The Hitmen will also host the Syracuse Salt Cats for a doubleheader on Wednesday, July 2, beginning at 2:00 p.m.


All weekday games (excluding the two doubleheaders) will start at 5:00 p.m., while Sunday contests will begin at 2:00 p.m. The full 2025 schedule can be viewed on the Horseheads Hitmen website.


The Hitmen will be guided in 2025 by first-year manager and New York native Ed Corniel. This year's Hitmen squad features 11 players from the Southern Tier and seven returners, including Brady Morrell, Ashtyn Knoll, Zac Larkin, Jack Stemerman, Jack Carozzoni, Logan Meisner, and Daniel Lewis.


One of the most diverse rosters in the short history of the Horseheads Hitmen, this year's squad features four players from Louisiana, two each from Texas, Michigan, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania. There are also three international players joining the team this year from Australia and Japan.
