Horseheads Hitmen Strengthen Roster with Three Key Signings

The Horseheads Hitmen of the New York Collegiate Baseball League (NYCBL) have made significant additions to their roster ahead of the upcoming season. The team is pleased to announce the signings of left-handed pitcher TJ Dimitriou from Suffolk University, infielder Max Cloutier from St. Lawrence University, and infielder Adam Birt from Willamette University.

TJ Dimitriou, currently boasting a 2-1 record at Suffolk University, brings a wealth of pitching experience to the Hitmen. Prior to his time at Suffolk, Dimitriou demonstrated his talent at Babson College with an impressive 3.37 ERA. His addition is expected to strengthen the Hitmen’s pitching rotation and enhance their competitive edge on the mound.

Max Cloutier, an infielder from St. Lawrence University, joins the Hitmen after an outstanding spring season where he is batting .300 with 2 home runs. Cloutier’s offensive prowess and versatility in the infield will provide the team with added depth and firepower in crucial game situations.

Adam Birt, currently excelling at Willamette University with a .316 batting average and one home run, further bolsters the Hitmen’s infield lineup. Birt’s consistency at the plate and defensive skills will be instrumental in the team's quest for success in the NYCBL.

Manager Eugene Barber expressed great optimism about these signings, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome TJ Dimitriou, Max Cloutier, and Adam Birt to the Horseheads Hitmen. Each player brings unique talent and a strong work ethic that aligns with our team’s vision. We believe they will make significant contributions both on and off the field.”

These acquisitions underscore the Hitmen’s commitment to assembling a competitive and well-rounded roster for the 2024 season. Fans can look forward to an exciting season ahead as the Hitmen aim to build upon their success in the NYCBL.
